Annual support
Annual support is a limited-capacity engagement for smaller public entities that need a steady place to organize recurring questions, calendars, records, and decision materials across the year.
Designed for recurring work
Annual support can help a lean team maintain an agreed operating rhythm: preparing a budget calendar, organizing information for a rate review, screening grant opportunities, maintaining a filing calendar, or preparing routine board materials.
It is not an unlimited retainer or a substitute for a separately scoped project. The annual workplan identifies priorities, responsible client contacts, expected source records, and the types of support that may use the available hours.
How the year is controlled
Agree on priority workstreams, client contacts, boundaries, source records, and known decision dates.
Confirm the immediate question, expected output, reviewers, and reasonable use of available support time.
Keep priorities and approximate hours visible so the client can redirect remaining capacity deliberately.
Scope substantial deliverables independently when they exceed the annual plan or require specialist coordination.
Possible workplan items
Actual work depends on the agreed plan, available source material, remaining hours, and the roles of the client’s attorneys, auditors, engineers, and other professionals.
Professional boundaries
Annual support is advisory and administrative capacity under a defined workplan. It does not create unlimited availability, reserve emergency response, or include major deliverables unless separately scoped.
Longview does not provide legal advice, audit opinions, engineering certifications, bond-counsel services, or guaranteed grant awards. The client and its qualified professionals retain responsibility for official conclusions, approvals, filings, and actions.
Plan the year deliberately
Share the workstreams, deadlines, responsible staff, and source records already available. Longview can help determine whether annual support or a separately scoped engagement is the better fit.
